About the Computational Robotics Laboratory (CRL)
The Computational Robotics Laboratory (ComRob - CRL) is a research group within the Center for Robotics and Autonomous Systems (CRAS) and Artificial Intelligence Center (AIC) at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU).
CRL focuses on fundamental and applied research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and autonomous robotic systems. Our goal is to develop innovative computational methods and scalable algorithms that enable robotic systems to operate reliably in complex, dynamic, and uncertain environments.
We address real-world challenges to improve quality of life and gain insights into the principles underlying intelligent behavior in nature. Our research explores a range of techniques including:
- State-space search and combinatorial optimization
- Nature-inspired computing
- Lifelong learning
- Autonmous navigation and operational deployments
Our work emphasizes robotic information gathering, with a special focus on collective robotics and systems capable of functioning under imperfect sensing and perception.
